Good To Know
What You Should Know About U.S. – Mexico Equipment Shipping
01
Here’s how we keep your U.S.–Mexico crossings moving without delays:
02
Customs & Documentation: A licensed agente aduanal files the Mexican Pedimento (SAT), while we handle the U.S. ACE eManifest. We also assist with USMCA (T-MEC) origin checks to lower duty costs.
03
Maquiladora & IMMEX Prep: We coordinate temporary import filings so production gear moves directly into manufacturing plants hassle-free.
04
Bonded Drayage & Handoffs: Equipment crosses the bridge using secure bonded drayage, transferring smoothly between trusted U.S. and Mexican carriers.
05
Northbound Returns: Returning gear to the U.S. follows the same structured flow: export Pedimento, bridge transfer, CBP entry, and nationwide U.S. delivery.
We coordinate with your Mexican customs broker (agente aduanal) or introduce you to one of our preferred partners. Pedimento, USMCA certificate of origin, and IMMEX paperwork are all coordinated through that relationship.
Which crossings do you use most?
Laredo / Nuevo Laredo (World Trade Bridge and Colombia Solidarity Bridge) handles the majority of our heavy haul traffic. We also run Otay Mesa, El Paso, Pharr, and Eagle Pass depending on origin and destination.
Can you ship into a maquiladora?
Yes. we deliver into IMMEX / maquiladora facilities daily, including temporary import shipments for production equipment, tooling, and machinery.
How long does Mexican customs take?
With Pedimento filed in advance and a CTPAT/OEA carrier, most loads clear in 1–4 hours at Laredo. Random inspections can extend that we monitor and update you live.
Is my equipment insured on both sides of the border?
Yes. Up to $1M cargo on the U.S. leg, and we confirm equivalent Mexican carrier cargo coverage before the handoff. COIs available for both legs.
